The program will be “Mouth and Lips”, the final in a series of presentations on carving eyes, nose, mouth and ears. This is a hands-on demonstration so please bring a V-tool, carving knife, small gouge, pencil and glove. Wood will be furnished but bring your own if you like. We will follow a step-by-step process for carving a mouth. The presentation will include basic structure, layman’s nomenclature and key things to remember about carving the mouth. OUR MISSION
The Eastern Oklahoma Woodcarvers Association exists to preserve, promote, and perpetuate the timeless art of woodcarving for this and future generations through education, seminars, and weekly hands-on instruction.

Eastern Oklahoma Woodcarvers Association
Known as the EOWA, is a charitable non-profit organization dedicated to preserving, promoting and expanding the timeless art form of woodcarving. Established in 1975, the organization has sponsored an annual Show & Sale for the past 41 years.
It numbers among its members a number of nationally- acclaimed practitioners of this centuries-old art, including the late native American, Willard Stone, whose striking commissioned pieces are on display at the world-famous Gilcrease Museum, located in Tulsa, OK.

Welcome! We hope you will spend some time on our site and explore the wonderful world of wood carving.
