Wednesday, January 8, 2025 7:00pm.
Presenter: Rusty Johnson
“The Eyes Have It”
This is the first in a series of presentations on carving eyes, nose, mouth and ears. This is a hands-on demonstration so please bring a carving knife, small gouge or two, pencil and glove. Wood will be furnished. We will follow a step-by-step process for carving an eye. The presentation will also cover positioning, basic structure, nomenclature and key things to remember about carving the eye. Our ideal will be Michelangelo’s “David”. No guarantees that we will achieve that goal.
As usual the meeting will be at the St. Stephens Methodist Church, 400 N New Orleans, Broken Arrow.
